The Alpha and the Omega of Healing

The Alpha and the Omega of Healing

God, you are the beginning of my life, the Alpha and the Omega of my healing journey.
Jesus identifies himself as “the Alpha and the Omega” of life. What does this mean and how does it relate to healing?
1.    Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and Omega is the last. The first concept suggested here is that Christ is the “whole”, He is the beginning and the end of everything.
Healing: Christ is with me throughout my malady, from beginning to end, I am not alone – ever! Christ stands shoulder-to-shoulder with me.
2.   Christ is the beginning and end of Truth and Wisdom. Christ encompasses all truth and all wisdom. We live, breathe, and live bathed in Christ’s truth and wisdom.
HealingI am guided, uplifted and inspired by the wholeness of Christ’s Truth and the breadth of Christ’s Wisdom –as I move through whatever physical, emotional, psychological, financial, relational, etc. malady that afflicts me. Truth and Wisdom propel me toward healing.
3.   Alpha and Omega also implies the power that gives coherence to the whole.
Healing: In Christ I find the central “glue” that holds me together. I am not an assemblage of body parts, or an array of psychological constructs. Rather I am kept together, as a whole person – body, mind, and spirit by the Alpha and Omega of Christ. Here is where my healing lies.
4.   Omega is the end, i.e., Christ is the fundamental purpose of my very existence and is also my destiny – the reason for which I was created.
HealingMy afflictions have purpose, and the central point of the purpose is growing closer to Christ – ever advancing in my sacred journey of learning Love better.
May God’s peace and blessings be ever with you,
