Smiling Through the Pandemic - Day 30

Smiling Through the Pandemic - Day 30

When I smile, I’m more sensitive
to others and to myself.

How much more there is in others and in me that I have overlooked because I so often fail to practice the simple task of smiling.

I want to discover deeper understanding of myself and of others.

I want to be closer to others and more present to myself.

I want to experience the passion of life at its depths.

Smiling gives me so much more of life than I could know otherwise; and it does this so simply and yet so powerfully.

Smiling opens my emotions so I not only know the facts of those with whom I work and play, but their inner life as well.

Smiling helps me go far beyond the facts of living, to the central feelings of living, the real “stuff” of life… to the effective affect of living.

If you smile at someone, they might smile back.
