When I smile, I synchronize my body chemistry
toward balance and coherence.
Everything is attached to everything else; certainly all the various parts of me are all connected.
When I detach one part of me from the others, then the totality of me doesn’t work as well.
Smiling helps bring me together; it reminds me to patiently observe the celestial order and symmetry that God has planted in me from the start.
Smiling brings the disparate parts of me together and into balance.
Smiling launches me into the restorative process of transformation, finding God’s power in me, the power that re-makes me all new, as Christ promised.
I have a tickle in my brain.
And it keeps making the corners of my mouth
point toward the heavens.
