Sickness vs. Illness

Sickness vs. Illness

Sickness is my medical diagnosis. Affliction, or illness, on the other hand refers to my personal, emotional, psychological, and/or spiritual reactions to my sickness.
Sickness vs. Illness
Before we embark, I want to make something clear: illness and sickness are not synonymous. Sickness is the physical aspect of illness, the part that your doctors and the entire medical community are focused upon.
Concurrently, sickness of any kind (body, mind and/or spirit) brings about a host of illnesses such as frustration, anger, strain, anxiety, confusion, depression, and so many others. These illnesses can actually cause more pain than the sickness itself, and therefore, healing the illnesses associated with sickness is the focus of the entire Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan.
Curing vs. Healing
Curing involves bringing the body, the physical “you,” to a more healthy state. Curing is the goal of the medical community.
On the other hand, healing transforms you—enhancing the functioning of your personality and affecting the way you emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually move through your sickness journey. You find healing at the crossroads between practical psychology and your faith.
And yet, despite the difference between these two concepts, do they ever intersect? Do they interact? Can one actually affect the other, and if so…how? Are there actual mechanisms that can bridge the two: your personality (animated by your spiritual strengths), on the one hand, and the physical functioning of your body on the other? These questions are at the heart of the Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan!
The Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan is not “faith healing” where one blindly and passively relies on divine intervention as the sole means for physical cure. While spontaneous healing miracles do happen; it would be arrogant of us to “direct” Divinity to act in this way.
The Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan never promises cure; its purpose is healing. And it is because of this illness-healing purpose that the Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan is becoming such a well-regarded and trusted supplement to traditional medical and psychological practices.
The philosophy of The Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan is that individuals need to seek the best and most appropriate medical care that they can in accord with their own personal wishes; and that they should supplement this care with the best psychological and spiritual care possible.
The Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan offers effective and understandable psychology and a practical means for deepening and using your faith in the healing process. These three aspects: 1) excellent medical care, 2) practical psychological care, and 3) matters of personal faith, are brought together in the Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan, and together provide a powerful remedy for healing body, mind, and spirit as a single unit…you!
These are gifts that the world cannot give; they are gifts that only come from a deepening relationship with God. It’s this ever-advancing relationship with God that serves as the center point of the Spiritual Strengths Healing Plan. Something truly wonderful is about to happen, something beautiful is about to begin…let the adventure unfold in you!
