When I smile my cares begin to melt away.
When I smile, my worries seem to erode a bit; dread of disaster begins to evaporate.
When I smile, fear slides off my shoulders and any sense of personal insufficiency drains from me forming a puddle on the floor below.
Smiling seems to emancipate me from guilt, and lifelessness, and rigidity, and indifference; smiling gifts me with healing.
Smiling spiritually lifts me up to stand straight and tall in God’s presence within.
Smiling helps me to forget about my grasping self and focus instead on what’s more real about me… my holy self.
It is almost impossible to smile on the outside
without feeling better on the inside.
